Where could I learn practical and general cycling maintenance?

I'm not very practical, and even the thought of taking a back wheel off, with all those gears, is pretty daunting. I've been out and about on it recently, but the idea of a back puncture makes me think I might just throw it into a canal! Is there recommendations on learning cycle stuff anywhere? I'm in Hemel Hempstead btw. Thanks. |
