| Quite an easy run. I didn't follow it exactly. For one thing I diverted the route through Woodley as that's where I live. The route, as posted, through Reading is along some quite busy roads and even goes along Kings Rd against the traffic. I'm not sure where we were supposed to go after the bus lane stops. I instead took London Rd and London St. One of my reasons for riding this route is I wanted to visit a shop in central Reading along the way. If I hadn't needed to, I would skip central Reading: taking Wilderness Rd past the university and join Shinfield Rd further south. Once out of Reading it's quite a nice leisurely run: mostly flatish with a couple of steep hills in Barkham. One thing I will add is that the route is very coarsely drawn so I had to fill in the detail myself before putting it on my gps. I wasn't sure how we were supposed to get from the station to Shinfield Rd. Thanks for posting. | ||
