| 1. Through the Chilterns on quiet roads, there are some very challenging hills on the return leg up to Christmas Common and again up to Winter Hill the other side of A404M. This was my first 80 miler, and I confess I had to push my bike up half of each of these hills! (The first time I didn't get out of my pedals in time and comically tipped over onto the road...thankfully no cars coming!) |

Plenty of nice lookout points, especially Winter Hill and coming back down the hill into Marlow. Absolutely loads of country pubs in all the villages on the way (Cuxham was particularly pretty).
