Avoiding main roads and mostly using side roads and quiet lanes. Some hills but more downhill this way than if you go from Soton to Winch!

I've not ridden this route (but live locally).
I believe that the section between Hocombe Road and Poles Lane is actually across private land. Beware of trespass.
I looked at doing this section on the way to work in Winchester but was refused permission by the Cranbury Estate which own the land.
