A road loop of the Trough of Bowland, plenty of hills, both up and down. Great views from the tops, can be made shorter if required, but not less hilly!
Caton is a useful starting point as the there is a public car park by the River Lune in addition to being able to park in the village.
Note: can be windy / cold on the tops especially when reaching Clougha Pike. Also take extra care on the cattle grids which are quite often near the bottom of long (fast) descents. |

Tea shops and pubs along the route, notably at Dunsop Bridge, Slaidburn, Wigglesworth, Settle, Wray and Caton, if you need to refuel along the way or just stop to enjoy the view.
