Cycle Steps
Starting at Peel Park roundabout in East Kilbride, the one that has the big silver P's to the side of it. Head down towards Jackton on Eaglesham road.
Take first right on to Peel road. Cycling along Peel road, after you have crossed underneath the dual carriage way, take the 2nd left (after the forest).
There are signposts up at this point for Waterfoot, Busby and Newton Mearns. Just 20 yards along, there is an entrance in the bushes. Go in here, don't worry if you miss the first one, there are a few.
This is like a little playground for mountain bikers and BMX riders I suppose. There are plenty of jumps and little trails to follow. Although I did find the place a little eerie.
After you have had your fun,if you fancy a little potter longer, come back out onto the road and turn left. Cycling along here will take you to Eaglesham and the places mentioned above.
If you are just looking for a short round trip though, 2 miles along this road take a left and you will come back onto Peel road.
