| This route is 90% on Bridle paths travelling through farms countryside and dog kennels at one point. The majority is signposted, although the signs are small or overgrown so keep a keen eye. At some points you do have to join the main road, the most important part of which is the entrance to Savernake Forest on Salisbury Hill. I suggest this part of the route is not suitable for children, as the hill is very steep and really hard work as well as being quite busy. |

| Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see? |
The villages of Chiseldon, Ogbourne St George and the town of Marlborough. Marlborough is full of useful amenities and if you enter Savernake through the camping site there is a camping/outdoor useful shop as well as free to use picnic and BBQ facilities.
