| i like the sound of that ride, i am doing a sponsored Hoddesdon to Cambridge ride in September with a couple of less experienced guys, will definately use it. my only concern is Violets Lane in Furneaux Pelham, its europes longest ford and can get a bit deep after a rain fall, and we must also watch out for the 4x4 brigade who are drawn to it most weekends. ! | ||

| If you are on a road bike the best is to go through Stocking Pelham which is a few miles extra but the road is good or alternative go up Whitebams Lane which is just left to Violets Lane - It is a great route and really appreciate the country lanes as I cycle from Tower Bridge which I have found going through Epping and Roydon is the best to join up Stansted Abbotts | ||
