Quite hilly after Howwood, and again at the Thorn Brae in Johnstone.

Addendum:

The fast twisty downhill section around Carruthmuir which starts with a right hand turn with some trees on the right before going downhill and to the left requires some care as the surface on the left hand side is in poor condition, resulting in a rear wheel puncture when I did the route on the 12th July.
