This is a hilly road route, mainly on quiet country roads, though there are some short sections of busy dual carriageways.
The route is quite hilly, especially between Bishop Aukland and Wolsingham, via Hamsterley. There is also a long uphill pull between Crook and the Bishop Aukland/ Spennymoor road, A688. |
