Found on the Southwest, bordering England is the first Scottish county that has received a grant of arms. All the small villages hover around the English border and are relatively small in population thus having lots of open space. In Anchrum there is a butcher that has rare meat. Jedburgh, only ten miles from England housed Mary Queen of Scots. Melrose Abbey, in Melrose, the heart of Robert the Bruce was buried. It was accidental dug up by a couple of high school kids who were participating in a archaeological dig. It was reburied without the casket being opened and finally Kirk Yetholm was the head quarters for gypsies.
