2nd day of charity bike ride to Picos de Europa mountains in northern Spain. For more details see www.picosriders.org.uk.
After an overnight stop at San Vicente we set off to explore a bit of the local Cantabrian Mountains and visit Cueva Soploa for an afternoon's caving.
Leave San Vicente going east over the 28 arched bridge, and then SE following the N634. Pass Barrio de la Venta and at roundabout head SW on CA848 to Roiz, then take CA849 and shortly go west on CA850. Then a long ride along this scenic minor road until eventually you meet the CA181. Head south on CA181 and soon take a left turn towards Rabago. Now look for signs directing to the Cueva Soploa.
The route home is back to the CA181 and follow it (north) down the Rio Nansa valley to eventually come to the main coast road (N634) and head east back into San Vicente de la Barquera.
