Some challenging climbs (!) but quiet country roads and great scenery. This route passes through Stratford Tony, Fovant, Wylye, Little Langford, Great Wishford and Little Dumford.
I rode this, with my wife 10/10/09. It was a glorious day when we left the campsite just below Old Sarum which put us straight on the route. First section is fairly easy but do what we did. At Wylye continue on Cycle route 24 for 5 miles to the Ginger Piggery, at Boyton, for tea and cakes then trace back to Wylye. You will need the fuel to climb the hills which populate the remaining ride.
This is a great ride, super countryside, pretty lanes, excellent views and a good variety of riding. Rolling country, narrow lanes with one or two tough climbs, what more could you want.

The hill out of Fovant heading towards Fifield is a good one, when you reach the plateau you think thank god, then it goes up again!
