| This is a road route, on a mix of A, B and country roads, that provides a good mornings workout, with some long gentle and some short steep climbs. There are plenty of stops of the way, if you'd like it to take longer. Also, for a longer whole day ride, I'd suggest taking the chain ferry across the mouth of Poole Harbour, and do the circular route down to Swanage and Corfe Castle. and then back round toward Poole by land. |

Countryside is great, with long view to north and south when in the Blandford area. The Moors near Hinton and Horton are great too (watch out for cows!) and then there's obviously the seaside route back towards Poole. Poole and Bournemouth are both good maintenance stops with Primera shops in each. Enjoy.
