It is a great run for all levels with the Big Lamp pub at Newburn a fabulous incentive!

The route involves trespassing

Its pretty flat although on the Gateshead side there is a stretch between the golf course and manual level crossing going east is single track and overgrown so its difficult to pass and has cycles in both directions which can get a bit interesting. Using the bell on blind bends is a definite must.

It very popular with inexperienced walkers and young cyclists learning the skills so please USE the bell to warn others your coming.

Michaels earlier comment about trespassing is puzzling as the entire route on both sides are public access.

It is a lovely route which I regularly run on bike and on foot.
