The main features of this climb are the two intense, steep climbs.
To get an idea of the intensity of these ascents you must consider that you have already climbed from 98ft to 900ft over 25 miles before tackling the first climb which takes 2 miles to gain a further 750ft.
The second climb hits you at the base of the valley and climbs 900ft over 5 miles which after the first hill can be a bit too much.
The scenery on this route is amazing though and if you can see past the haze of pain for a second along the way it will all be worth it. |
