This is a very nice, road route, on quiet country and B roads, around Abberton Resovior, that is not to hill. It is a comfortable ride.
head north out of Layer Breton and go through Birch Green and Birch on the way to the B1022 junction. Turn right onto the B1022 and follow this into Heckfordbridge. Before Colchester Zoo, turn right and head for Layer de la Haye.
At Layer de la Haye turn right into Church Road, B1206, and follow this as it crosses the reservoir, swings right and then turns sharp left. As it turns sharp left turn right, off the B1206 and back towards Layer Breton. Follow this road across the reservoir once more and back to the start. |
