Cycle Steps
This is a road route, on a mix of A, B and country roads, that are mainly quiet, but with a few wee climbs to test the legs.
Initially head towards Chapel on the B981, then turn left onto the A910, Wester Bogie Road. Follow this as it sweeps round to the left and take a right turn off into Torbain Road. Follow this country road to just before Loch Gelly and the B9149 and turn left towards Auchtertool, remaining on country roads. In Auchtertool turn right onto Main Street, B925, heading towards Mossmorran. After about 200 metres, turn off left onto a country road taking you towards the B9157. At the B9157 junction, turn right and follow this to the A909 crossroads. Turn left onto the A909 and follow this into Burntisland. In Burntisland, go straight across the roundabout that takes you off the A909 and onto the A921 still heading for the centre. Now follow the A921 as it does a sharp left, at the end of Cromwell Road, and becomes Kinghorn Road. Follow the A921 along the coast, through Kinghorn and back up into Kircaldy. Turn left, away from the coast on the A910. Follow this through a couple of roundabouts and past the University of Dundee. At the next roundabout go straight across, leaving the A910 and going onto Forth Avenue. Negotiate a number of roundabouts that take you up Hendry Road back to Chapel Level, B981. Turn left and head back to the start.
