| Follow Route 14 past the back of Bede's World, along to Ferry Landing (Warning - some heavy traffic past Tyne Dock). Follow river route along to Shields Fun Fair (Follow cycle markers). Route 1 along coast to Sunderland (passing Souter Lighthouse). You will pass some railway carriages on your right, cross road at next crossing, up into Dykeland Rd (some on road stuff), turn right at roundabout into Dovedale Rd and continue until T - junction. Turn left into Shields Rd and up crossing the Metro. |
