Made up of six towns and villages totalling 81,000 people, this area boasts many attractions to the history seeker in all of us. Some villages date back to the Stone Age (roughly 1600 B.C.). A shared trait is all the villages at one time or another were all part of the seaside fishing and shipbuilding industry. Few ports were used for trading with other countries such as France. A few castles decorate the land while there are (2) museums, an outdoor pool and a few rivers along with a handful of parks.
