| This route follows 'The Heron Trail'. We started off in the car park at Higham Station (no charge for parking). This is an enjoyable country route with only a couple of hills which defeated us and caused us to walk. |

Passes Cooling Castle, the home of musician Jules Holland. Stopped for lunch in one of the pubs on Upper Upnor. Nice views across the Medway to Chatham Dockyard.
