| Nice calm route, a bit hilly but nothing unbearable. A nice all-round road. From Harrow to Rickmanswoth is your typical suburbs roads, where you'll be sharing the hilly road A404. The best part of the route, though is when you get a foot (wheel) on Hertfordshire and experience the beauty of the Grand Union Canal and the lakes of Three Valleys Water. Here there's a trail you can follow off-road, which is very enjoyable though it may be a bit rough if you're in a road bike! After the beauty comes the most difficult part of the route with a serious climb on Springwell Lane. Be ready, dose your efforts, and do not try to power it trough. It will suck up all your energies. After this pass by Harefield, into Northwwod road to get back on the A404 to Harrow! |
