| Starts off down the undulating A246, which is a very fast but quite low traffic road. Be careful on approach to Westhumble, very steep downhill with blind corners. There is a subway for safe crossing of A24 to get to Box Hill, which is a lovely (and not too difficult) climb with beautiful views. After passing through Dorking there are a few tough climbs, but the downhill rewards do come! If feeling tired, you can come back on the flat old bramley railway from Cranleigh; the road from Haslemere to Guildford is very up and down, difficult even for the best after a long day cycling! Overall a very undulating route with a few tough climbs but beautiful scenery and a lovely day out! |
