After exiting Aberdour stop at the Firth of Forth Viewpoint. There are bike shops in Kirkcaldy/Cupar and Dundee if required. The Tay bridge is a fantastic entry to Dundee and the remaining 16 miles follow the coast through nice towns like Broughty Ferry and Carnoustie.
