A great road ride for a sunny day, no big hills and plenty of variation in scenery.
Starts in Fareham, along A roads, passes over the toll bridge (free for bikes), with a great view across Southampton waterfront to the New Forest. Busy road section as you head out of Southampton along Millbrook Road, before skirting the edge of Totton and heading through the Forest to Lyndhurst. Second half of the route is almost entirely through the New Forest with its great scenery until you reach Christchurch. End point was Bournemouth train station for the return trip. |
