Just over 25 mile loop through Daisy nook country park mainly using tow paths, the ride towards heartshead is a reasonable hill and I personally get off and walk in places.
You can choose to turn around from the top of Heartshead pike maybe after a picnic taking in the views of greater Manchester (the ride back down is fun) or carry on over the other side and join the Ashton canal and on to Dovestones/ Uppermill. There is some road works on this route but you get to see some really interesting industrial remnants and architecture. |

Daisy Nook country park cafe, Heartshead pike landmark, a few nice pubs when you join the Ashton canal including one that does 2 for 1 on the turn off the canal to the road to the resevoir.
