Part A of Exeter to Falmouth cycle ride includes a wonderful scenic route away from Exeters often traffic heavy end of town onto the B3212 which takes you all the way through the centre of Dartmoor National Park.
The ride is pretty hilly and the roads are generally good.

Exeter has several bike shops but there are none on route until you reach Tavisock. Although roughly 10 miles from Moretonhampstead a shop can be found in Bovey Tracy.
