| I use this route as a 'keep fit' route, but may be useful for a family route. you can start in the pub carpark and as it is circular you can round either way. It is around 8 miles. The Travellers Friend is a nice countr pub and you can start by cycling through Epping Green Village. Short incline to Epping Upland Church after about 1 mile. Follow the road (B181) past Pinch Timber Cottage over Cobbins Brook and up onto the B1393. This is a busy road. Turn left here and take the next left into Rye Hill road. Follow to 'T' Junction. Turn left then left again into Parsloe Road. At 'T' junction turn left again onto Epping Road up a short steep incline back to the pub for lunch! |
