| Mostly light traffic or traffic free well surfaced route, from Ellesmere Port station join the NCN5 at ince on route to Frodsham. Taking care with traffic over river weaver and ship canal bridges turn right off the main road to follow NCN route to Dutton locks on the river weaver. Then follow river path to Acton bridge swing bridge (pub lunch stop) follow signs to Acton bridge village uphill to clifftop road and towards Norley, Delamere. Through Manley towards a56 taking care with traffic here, turn right after passing through bridge Trafford heading towards stoke village, turn onto canal towpath returning back to the station. |
