| Start at BP garage at end of Old Coach Road, East Kilbride. Head down East Mains Road (B783) and turn right into Markethill Road. Follow this through Rogerton and head for Carmunock. In Carmunock head for the B766 Carmunnock Road and travel to Castlemilk. Turn left into Simshill Road and down towards Linn Park Golf Course. Turn right into Linnview Avenue and follow Old Castle Road towards Cathcart. From here you will begin to see CYCLE ROUTE 7(75) MARKERS, which you will be able to follow all the way to Lochwinnoch. They are very well signposted from here through Pollok Park, following the White Cart to Paisley, then the Railway track toward Elderslie, Johnstone and on towards Lochwinnoch. At the train station you can take a ride back to East Kilbride via Glasgow Central for £5. | |
