Cycle Steps
Route to the Arran Ferry from Eaglesham. Sticking to the A77 for a bit before heading down over to Kilmaurs and winding down to Ardossan. Mostly good country roads and mostly downhill (into a westerly wind though...)

I followed this route last week before heading for Islay. When you join onto cycle route 73 it is very well sign posted all the way to Ardrossan. Worst part is the start over the Fenwick moors, but road is quiet due to the new M77

Sorry I made a mistake with the previous comment....I took a left at Kilmaurs onto Crosshouse road and when you get to the little bridge join route 73 for traffic free to Ardrossan through Irvine and Saltcoats...better I think.
