Loop via Eaglesham from East Kilbride. Mostly back roads with a busy stretch along Eaglesham Road depending on what time of day you cycle it.

Time for me about 45 minutes. First part is downhill last part up hill.

When you get to Strathaven road if you head South you will arrive at Whitelees Forest.

I have never seen a cyclist on the busy A726 Glasgow Southern Orbital. I certainly would not recommend it due to volume and speed (70mph and above!) of traffic. The old road from East Kilbride (Hairmyres) is much preferable.
