Cycle Steps
This is the route taken on the first day of a cycle ride across Ireland. I used Google maps to plan the route around the south of Dublin so as to avoid the centre of the city. As much as possible I avoided main roads and kept to the quieter country lanes. The distance is about 50 miles of pleasant cycling with the only steep climb over the Wicklows within the first 10 miles of the trip. Blessington would have been a nice place to stop, alas, there were no campsites. This was a feature of most of the trip across Ireland. In fact, I only came across a proper campsite once I had hit the west coast.
