B roads to Stalybridge with steady gradients to stretch the legs leading onto A635 then A6018 Mottram Road, Stalybridge. 1st hill, when you start to descend look to the left of Mottram Cutting and see if you can spot the 'Frog in the Wall'.

Leading onto A57 Glossop, after going under Dinting Viaduct at the 2nd rounabout take the right fork onto A6016 leading onto the A624 Chunal Lane, 2nd Hill, this the longest and highest. Drop down into Hayfield then turn right onto the A6015 leading to New Mills, dropping down into New Mills turning right at the traffic lights B6101, short steep climb to New Mills Central. Marple, take the left fork leading onto A626 then dropping down to traffic lights turning right onto A627 Dooley Lane.

3rd hill Barrack Hill, similar to New Mills but longer, traffic lights at the top turn left then, dropping down and turning left onto the A560 following sign post for Denton A6017. Denton, Crown Point turn left onto A57 then at the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Seymore Street, cycling round Audenshaw Reservoirs back to Droylsden.
