| First section relatively easy, through quiet lanes, through village at Downhan, route takes you to above Rimmington on a clear day great views, Pen- y- Ghent, Inglebourgh, and Wernside, continue along tarmac farm track, bit of a steep climb to reach main Blacho / Guisburn road. Steady up hill to Blacko. Some challenging up hill from here above Roughlee and Barley, until top above Downham. Incredible views here in all directions. Then a great down hill back into Downham village, return to start. |
