This is a reasonably flat, scenic, road route that runs alongside the River Ayr.
Starting in Cumnock you head towards Craigens and loop round to join the A70. Turn right and head towards Muirkirk. Beforw Smallburn, take a left, cross over the river and turn left onto the B743. Follow this along the line of the river to Sorn. Take a brief run on the B713 before turning left towards Gilmilnscroft. Briefly join the B705 then turn off left towards Lugar. Turn right onto the A70 and head back into Cumnock and the start. |
