| This route starts at Hilsea Lido and is best suited to hybrid bikes that can manage some rough tracks as well as smooth roads. You follow the water parallel to Hilsea lines all the way to Eastern Road. then make your way to the cycleway that runs past farlington marshes, all the way to havant, aiming for East street havant eventually. follow east street til it becomes main road, carry on eastwards to fishbourne. north at fishbourne, to west ashling and then head loosely westwards to racton and petersfield area. finally head south to cosham travelling through gentle villages such as funtingdon, denmead, cowplain, chalton, heading progressively for the naval base "ASWE" at southwick hill road, then down to cosham again. |
