| This is a 28km quick workout should that takes just over an hour. It follows mostly quiet back roads, taking in the scenic Lee Valley and brings you into the historic village of Blarney, before returning to Cork city. It features four small but heart pumping climbs. From the Shandon Bridge you climb up the Sunday's Well Road and down again. Then contiue on to the R618. Follow the R618 river along the river, then take the right turn onto the R622 and a further right at the T junction onto the R579. In Coolflugh take the R617 and make your way up into Blarney. Contiue through Blarney onto the N20 with its wide shoulders and head back into the city through Blackpool. |
