This is a road route, on a mix of A, B and country roads, that goes from the heart of Corby across the edge of the Welland Valley to Rutland Water. The outward route avoids many steep hills, while the return route has a few climbs on it.
As an option, it is possible to return from Wing via Glasdon to Seaton. This however has a couple of steep climbs on it, while the run from Wing to Morcott is fantastic.
Rutland water is very busy and congested so if you are a roadie, do not use the paths around the lake. Also, some of the the narrow cycle paths along the (older) roads near Oakham are worth avoiding. |

| Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see? |
Passes two bike shops at Rutland Water. The Welland Valley Viaduct is the largest object on the route and there is a Windmill at Morcott. The villages are very pretty and there is a nice pub at Manton that seems to like cyclists.
