| Circular route from Colchester taking in Little and Great Bromley; Elmstead Market; Wivenhoe. After leaving Little Bromley turn right by the war memorial. Take care on the Bromley Road heading towards Elmstead Market as cars tend to go pretty fast along this stretch! When nearing to Wivenhoe you can follow signs for cycle route 51 this will take you into Wivenhoe where there is a choice of places to get refreshments. |

| A beautiful ride for this time of year (late April). A shining sun, country smells, quiet roads (mostly) and plenty of bloomage. Very easy going too. Note: Only one hindrance, many of the roads are unmarked so following of the nose is required. | ||

| Thanks! This was a great picturesque route with little traffic - the first proper journey I've made since getting myself a bike this week! Made an accidental detour out to Ardleigh, but was all part of the fun. Picked up on NCN 51 coming back and followed signs but almost went off track where the right turn before the raised part of the Wivenhoe quayside isn't signposted! | ||
