| This is mainly a road route, predominantly following National Cycle Route 1, from Central Chelmsford to Harlow. It is on very quiet roads through beautiful countryside and villages. There are a few small gradients, but nothing too steep. The prevailing wind is generally from Harlow to Chelmsford so the return trip is significantly quicker. |
