| Great cycle route. Goes through parts of the countryside surrounding Carnoustie. Lots of small hills. Mainly smooth road surface, but some parts of the route are on off-road trails. The route at one part follows the Arbroath Road (A92), where the cycle path is next to the dual carriageway. In parts this is very close to the road, with no walls or barriers dividing the two. This obviously could be quite dangerous! Otherwise there is very little traffic on this route. |

Barry Mill, which is owned by the National Trust. Cycle route actually takes you past the mill, which in the summer months is usually up and running.
