1. Starts off going through the golf course, to quiet country roads, taking you to Mugdock Country Park, where there is a tearoom for lunch. After this, the cycling gets easier. Cycle back into Strathblane, and get onto the "Strathkelvin Railway Path", which should take you all the way to Kirkintilloch. A word of warning, when I took it, some inconsiderate Green and White striped Glaswegian football team decided to build a new training ground on top of it, so the map I've drawn includes the detour we found round this. When you get to Kirkintilloch, get onto the Canal, which will take you back to where you started in Bishopbriggs. You can continue on the canal path to Glasgow, via Maryhill.

Just completed this today - a good work out given distance. Most of it relatively flat so you can choose to take it easy or push yourself. KB
