| Nice easy flat training route from my home in blackpool, but anywhere from the Promenade will do. Measured at 60 miles, this is a circular route that takes in some lovely countryside on nice quiet country lanes. There is an A6 section (about 25 miles long) This is a fast section on a busyroad at weekends but it is wide and safe with plenty of cycle lanes along the way. The most sceneic part is the last 287 miles or so from Lancaster back to Blackpool along narrow but safe country lanes with reasonable tarmac quality. |
