Cycle Steps
This is a road route, on a mix of roads, that has some steep inclines and descents.
Begin at the Redlion Roundabout in Bedlington and head west, on the B1331, towards Nedderton. Pass through Nedderton and turn right at (T) junction onto the A192 towards Morpeth. Turn right off the A192 to go through Hepscott and over the A196 to Shadfen. There is a Very Steep descent through Shadfen and a steep incline exiting it. Head towards Bothal then turn off left towards Pegswood. Turn right at the Pegswood Roundabout onto the A197, where there is a cycle path that can be used. Turn right onto the Sheepwash Road, A1068, and take the next left onto Wellhead Dean Road. Continue through the housing estate. Turn right at the traffic lights, onto the A196, where there is a cycle path again (Steep descent and incline here). Head through Stakeford and Guide Post and go left, still on the A1068. Go through Choppington and back into Bedlington.
