Ireland Cycle Routes > Armagh
Originally it was once a pagan ritual site, then Saint Patrick came along and decided to build the city and 2 Cathedrals. The Vikings breezed through and invaded but didn't stay long. Now the oldest town in Ireland it has the smallest population, 14,589. Once there was a railway but upon a crash in the 1700's it slowly stopped running, the last route to close in 1957. Busses, taxis and hire cars are available. Some highlights to this town is the first Saint Patrick's Cathedral built in 445, along with the observatory and planetarium.
