County Antrim is situated in the north east of Northern Ireland. Most of the capital city of Northern Ireland, Belfast, is located within Antrim. The Columnar basalt at Giant's Causeway is definately worth a visit with a strange formation of rocks that form the North Antrim cliffs. There are 7 castles in County Antrim that remain fully or partially intact and a further 4 castle ruins excluding the fully demolished Antrim Castle. Portrush is a coastal seaside resort that is popular with keen golfers, and for the night-life scene.
