Cycle Steps
This is an undulating route, that is mainly on country lanes, but also has a mix of rough roads through farm yards and off road woodland paths.
From the car park on the beach head west through the lights and over the railway bridge. At the end of Sea Road turn right onto the A547 and then left at Gwrych Castle. Fork right as you go past the Golf club. Keep climbing until you see a row of static caravans on your left. Turn left here onto a rough road and steady as you go through the farm yard.
Turn right as you return to Tan Y Gopa Road and left at the 2nd fork. Right onto Llanfair road, A548, then an immediate left into Abergele Chest Hospital. A gentle climb partly off road through the woods and take a left as you come out of them.
Keep right at the fork and travel up to the main road, B5381, and turn left here then next left again. A sharp right at Fardre Farm takes you through some beatiful trees along a quiet road to a gate house. Turn left here, check your brakes as you approach a steep drop into the Village of St George, there is a pub to the right of the incredibly picturesque Hamlet.
The road from the pub takes you straight to Abergele past the quarry where Pensarn is signposted from the traffic ights.
