Route from Swansea to Crickhowell / Abergavenny

Hi,

I'm doing a five day South Wales "on road" ride next May starting in Hereford and then across to Aberystwyth and then down the coast to St Davids and then across to Swansea. However the last leg I intend to do is from Swansea to Crickhowell where I'm joining up with the family for a holiday. Can anyone suggest a decent route from Swansea to the Crickhowell /Abergavenny area. What is the A465 like to cycle as it seems a direct route but imagine it's pretty scary ?

If anyone knows a good route what sort of miles are involved.

Hi. you can go A465 as far as the Pendryn round about, follow the signs to Brecon then down to Crick. its about 65miles.
