I am planning to cycle from central London to Monmouthshire - does anyone have a good route? I hope to do a big day on friday then a short day on Saturday (with rather too many children) followed by a final day on Sunday. Ideally I would like cycle tracks - maybe the canal path?

Cycle tracks are a scarce along the route, and when you do find them they're not fit for pure road bikes, i had to stay on the B roads around the A4, very little traffic and good surfaces mostly.
